Last week Tuesday Mexico played
against United States. The game was held in Mexico City in Estadio Azteca. They
game ended with a tie. Both teams gave a tremendous fight. This tie helped USA
to qualify and be in the 3rd place. We Mexican National Team can agree
that we are not happy with the results. The thing that makes us be furious is
that we know we have the potential to win. In an article in Los Angeles Times
Kevin Baxter mentions how the USA strategy was to block Javier Hernandez also
called “Chicharito”. Chicharito is one of our high- scoring strikers. Baxter also mentions, how El tri had multiple
opportunities to score. In the other hand USA had only one shot to the goal.
Reading from a Mexican News Paper
called Televisa Fernando Vazquez mentions how Mexico ends up in the second last
spot. Mexicans were leaving the stadium with their head down. Mexico hasn’t lost
any game, but they haven’t win one either. These results are jeopardizing Mexican
going to the World cup. At this point
there is no other point or view or analytic way to see it Mexico need to give
everything in the field and gain some results. Fernando Vazquez mentioned the
lack of talent that was shown. Their passes were too short, nothing was
precise, he believes Mexico can do better. One of the main difference form this
two articles is that the American mention how Mexico gave their best, while
reading the Mexican article they mention how Mexico didn’t give their best.
