Mexico vs. Peru 2013 at San Francisco

Last Wednesday 17th the Mexican national team had a friendly game against Peru. It took place San Francisco (northeast of USA) at Candlestick Park. Mexico can move past its lackluster play, it is creating anxiety to their passionate and loyal fans. They are all questioning the future outcome of the team.  Is the national team of Mexico going to step it up?

Is the fifth game they tie, they haven’t been able to get a triumph. Since the season of 2013 started Mexico hasn’t had a chance to show their potential. In the game against Peru they had control of the ball several times but they were not able to make any goals. "We had chances," Mexico coach Jose Manuel de la Torre said in Spanish through a translator. —We didn't finish them."  Elliott Almond quoted him in mercury news. The question is when are they going to finish their chances. We should also take in consideration the key players that were absent on the game. Monterrey and Santos laguna players couldn’t attend. The stats stars Javier Hernandez, Javier Aquino, Andres Guardado and Giovani dos Santos didn’t played either.

Mexico records of 2013 should start changing. It time to see Mexico have a win, we are anxious to start celebrating. They need to give us a reason to keep cheering and having hope for them. They are amazing team; they should change their lackluster play and setup it up. El tri should start proving that Mexico is strong enough to go to the World Cup in Brazil.

Hopefully they bad rash changes in their next game. It will take place in Huston against Nigeria. This is going to be their last friendly game until the real season starts.

Mexico shouldn't put their heads down.

There have been many arguments about whether Mexico would be able to go to the World Cup 2013.  Mexico started on the wrong foot; they tied the three first qualifying games. Even the passionate and loyal fans doubt if Mexico will qualify.  Articles from ESPN are even asking if Mexico is strong enough, and will step up to qualify.  “It begs the question: Is this Mexican national team simply not as good as we thought? In terms of the raised expectations and where the team is currently at, the answer is yes, but a look at the big picture is needed.”  Tom Marshall from ESPN mentions.

The only time Mexico hasn’t been part of the world Cup was in Italy90. It was more than 2 decades ago. We wont let that happen, our result are not the best ones, but we still have a chance.  Mexico is in fifth place and he is out from the three tickets to go to the Concafac for the world cup.  To be able to leave the unenviable position it is in, Mexico needs to win their next three games.  They need to gain Mexicans trust. As Alto Nivel´s article mentions, the opponent’s results are what will determine if Mexico qualifies to the World cup.

Mexico should start being tough and give the best of them.  They are still missing seven games. They haven’t been playing as we expected too. They are not a bad team they are lacking of goals and being rough.  Now we are wishing they win every single game and hopefully they have enough points to classify.  Mexico shouldn't put their heads down.
